What the tool provides
VIN Recall Scan is an independent browser-based VIN format checker and reference preview. It checks whether your entry has 17 permitted letters and numbers, then presents a local preparation sequence and a static preview.
What the tool does not provide
It does not verify a VIN’s existence or check digit, decode a vehicle, search a recall database, identify an owner, or provide vehicle history, inspection, title, accident, valuation, or safety results. “Valid format” refers only to the character and length checks. The recall status remains “Not checked”.
The preparation and preview
The progress indicator represents local interface preparation, not a network search. The second window has three static placeholder cards. The Windows graphic is decorative and does not provide a system action or indicate any partnership. “Get full report” is deliberately disabled. No report is sold, generated, downloaded, or promised by this build.
Using official information
Use the official NHTSA recall lookup for U.S. recall information, or consult the appropriate manufacturer or official service for your region. This tool’s preview is not a substitute for those sources, manufacturer instructions, or a vehicle inspection. An external website is separately operated and may have different terms and coverage.
